I love saying the word, Panini! Panini. Panini. Panini. Ok. I think it’s out of my system. Panini!! 🙂 Who doesn’t love a grilled sandwich consisting of toasted bread, melted cheese (some of us could stop here and be satisfied! ;)) and the numerous combinations of other fixin’s!? All their flavors coming together to create a most savory sandwich. Mmmm!! The thought alone is absolutely delightful!
I had the pleasure of trying a Caprese Chicken Breast Panini for lunch today. Although I couldn’t decide what exactly I was in the mood for, this grilled concoction did not disappoint! Grilled chicken breast, roasted tomatoes, fresh mozzarella and basil aioli married together in grilled perfection on herb focaccia. OMG!! Delizioso!!
As I was savoring every tasty bite of my Caprese Chicken Breast Panini, my mind started running. As it often does. Could you imagine the possibilities of dessert (yes, I said the “D” word!!) panini’s!? Melted chocolate. Marshmallow creme. Fresh fruit and/or jam. Just a few things that came to mind. I think there is a challenge in this that I need to pursue. Perfecting the most exquisite dessert Panini!
The first step in this mission…
I would like a Cuisinart or Breville Panini Press for Christmas.

Do you have a Panini press, Jenn? Rachel and Sharone gave some awesome dessert panini ideas on FB. I’ve yet to try them out. But hopefully soon!! 🙂
