Fish Taco’s. Crispy or Grilled?

As if I didn’t consume enough salt last night, I dove back in wide-eyed and bushy-tailed this afternoon. Still feeling a tad dehydrated, what appealed the most was an ice-cold slushy Jamba Juice. However, knowing that at some point I’d be hungry, I knew JJ wasn’t going to cut it.

I found myself at Baja Fresh contemplating their “Fresh Mex” menu. The fish taco’s stood out.  The begging question, grilled? Or crispy (which is really just a food-friendly way of saying, FRIED!!)?  An interesting fact, when I order out fish taco’s, I order fried (heh hmm.. crispy :)).  When I’m the one making them, I go grilled. Go figure.

I decided upon a crispy Mahi-Mahi Taco. Three actually. 🙂  These taco’s were da bomb! The Mahi-Mahi was firm (I can’t do limp fish) and fresh. The light breading complemented the fish without taking away from its flavor.  The pico de gallo had the right amount of kick and the cabbage was crisp, lightly dressed with a tangy dressing. A squeeze of lime and… don’t bother me, I’m eating. 😉

I’d highly recommend stoppin’ by your closest Baja Fresh and picking up a few crispy Mahi-Mahi Taco’s when you’re in the mood for something fresh, delicious and fast!
